January 2012 marked the kick-off of one my most favourite projects ever: the Sew Colette Sew-Along. Co-hosted with the lovely Erin of Miss Crayola Creepy and enthusiastically supported by Sarai Mitnick of Colette Patterns, we set out to sew all five patterns included in The Colette Sewing Handbook.
We completed one garment per month in the order they appeared in the book. Along the way, we explored the techniques taught by Sarai and it remains one of my favourite projects to date.
On June 1, 2012, Sew Colette 2.0 was launched and I am delighted to be co-hosting this project with Erin of Miss Crayola Creepy and Rochelle of Lucky Lucille.
Sew Colette 2.0 was a collaborative project; featuring tutorials, guest posts, and lively discussion, as seen in the handbook sew-along, with some very special guests coming to share their expertise. Participants were encouraged to sew as many or as few garments as they liked and the number of participants was amazing!
